My Journey with Moxibustion: From Skeptic to Devotee

In 2013, I discovered moxibustion—and fortunately, I didn’t take any detours. It all began during a trip when I first encountered this practice. I had heard of moxibustion before but had never tried it. Initially, I bought a box of moxa sticks just to give it a try. To my surprise, I fell in love with it immediately.

At first, I held the moxa stick directly over the spot between my eyebrows. The sensation was incredible—the heat seemed to penetrate deep inside. Back then, I often suffered from headaches, especially in winter. After moxibusting that area almost daily for a while, I realized my headaches had practically vanished. From then on, I embarked on my moxibustion journey, experimenting with various tools and even combining it with cupping. Whether it was a cold, stomach discomfort, indigestion, or even a severe bout of viral flu with high fever, moxibustion helped me pull through. Having moxa sticks at home just makes me feel secure.

I have a little dog at home. At first, whenever I did moxibustion, he would run far away. But later, when he had episodes of vomiting and diarrhea, I asked Sister Ye whether dogs could also receive moxibustion. She said yes, so I went ahead and tried it. Surprisingly, the results were amazing—his diarrhea improved after just two days of moxibustion. Before this, his digestive system was quite weak; even minor dietary mistakes or catching a chill would send him to the vet for injections, which usually took three days to work. Now, whenever he has stomach issues, I just moxibust his belly, and he hasn’t had diarrhea in years.

Last winter, for some unknown reason, I developed a persistent cough that felt almost asthmatic. I moxibusted my Dazhui (GV14) point two or three times a week, and soon enough, the cough disappeared—it was truly miraculous. If you have a dog at home, I highly recommend trying moxibustion; it’s incredibly effective.

This year, whenever I lie on my moxibustion bed, my dog climbs up and snuggles beside me. I guess he’s now a moxibustion-savvy pup who understands its benefits.

All my friends know how much I advocate for moxibustion and its health benefits. Many around me have started using it too. Some have even compared moxa sticks from different sources, but in the end, they always say, “The ones you recommended are the most authentic.” A few financially savvy friends have quietly stockpiled boxes of them—some even have dozens. I can’t help but admire and envy their foresight.

Finding high-quality moxa sticks isn’t easy, but once you do, sticking with moxibustion means securing your health. Thank you, Sister Ye, for providing us with truly pure moxa sticks. May your business thrive so we can always have access to this genuine treasure (Ai—love and moxa).
