Moxibustion for Lumbar Disc Herniation and Urticaria Relief: My At-Home Healing Journey with Jubutang

I first encountered moxibustion in 2015 due to lumbar disc herniation and chronic neck and shoulder pain. I’m grateful that a close friend introduced me to Jubutang’s moxibustion products, which saved me from detours in my healing journey. Over the years, guided by Jubutang’s expertise and fellow moxibustion enthusiasts, and through continuous experimentation tailored to my needs, I’ve mastered the art of applying moxibustion with ease.

Initially, I thought Jubutang’s moxa sticks were expensive, so I tried cheaper alternatives from Taobao. After comparison, however, I wholeheartedly returned to Jubutang. Their moxa sticks stand out for being aged, pure, and gentle—qualities rarely found in other products. Paired with Jubutang’s custom-designed moxibustion bed, my body receives comprehensive rest and treatment.

While Jubutang’s products may seem pricier at first glance, they’re cost-effective in practice. A single Six-Union Moxibustion session uses two sticks (just over ¥10), the Six-Needle Wooden Box uses one stick (I’m sensitive to heat), and the Moxa Pad uses affordable moxa floss (under ¥10 per session). For the moxibustion bed, I use three sticks (less than ¥30) for over an hour, or six scoops of floss in winter for 2-3 hours. Meanwhile, colleagues spend hundreds per session at moxibustion clinics—something I could never afford. Home moxibustion isn’t just economical; it’s convenient, therapeutic, and preventive. Why wouldn’t I choose this?

Since falling in love with moxibustion, I’ve shared it widely with family and friends, gifting them Jubutang’s sticks and tools. I hope they embrace it as I have and enjoy lasting health.

Moxibustion has banished my lumbar disc issues and neck-shoulder pain. Gone are the days of being immobilized by backaches or hindered by discomfort at work.

My 84-year-old mother suffered leg pain years ago. We taught her ginger-separated suspended moxibustion, and after a week of persistence, she recovered. Now, whenever her legs feel uneasy, she grabs a moxa stick and ginger slices for a two-hour session—relief lasts a full year. It’s astounding! She eagerly shares her method with other seniors experiencing mobility issues.

In our household, minor ailments like headaches or colds no longer require hospitals. A Six-Union Moxibustion session or a lie-down on the moxibustion bed solves them instantly. When my husband sprains his ankle playing basketball, he simply straps on a moxibustion box (he used to need my help) and recovers in days.

When my immunity dropped and urticaria struck, I consulted countless specialists, spent heavily on IVs, and tried both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine—all futile. Later, my sister-in-law mentioned a friend who cured urticaria with months of foot-soaking. I thought: Why soak when I have moxibustion? I began nightly TV sessions with a Moxa Pad under my feet, using floss for 1.5 hours. A month in, the hives have significantly eased. I’m confident persistence will bring full recovery.

Now, if my husband catches a chill, he knows to strap a moxibustion box to his navel and use the Moxa Pad on his feet. Relief is immediate, and two days of follow-up sessions prevent further issues—no hospitals, pills, or injections. It’s convenient, comfortable, and saves both time and money.

Through the years, moxibustion has woven itself into my life, guarding my family’s health and happiness, one gentle wisp of warmth at a time.
